Business Energy Advice Service Grant Programme

The Business Energy Advice Service (BEAS) Grant Programme is funded by the UK Government Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) to support the UK's commitment to reducing carbon emissions. It provides free energy assessments and grants of up to £100,000 for small and medium-sized enterprises in the West Midlands Combined Authority area, delivered via Birmingham City Council. Businesses register interest via an online form to be considered for support and future funding opportunities. Grants are offered without prejudice and are subject to contract; applications are assessed against programme criteria based on a review of the business, its financial position and history, and whether the proposed project is eligible for grant funding. Applications are handled on a first-come, first-served basis, and funding is limited, with grants awarded only while funds remain available. The council also signposts to its wider Birmingham Enterprise Support Service programme for other forms of business support and advice.
