About this support
The Made Smarter Adoption Programme, listed on Business Lincolnshire's grants page, helps manufacturing and engineering businesses adopt Industrial Digital Technologies (IDTs) to address issues such as machine downtime, meeting customer demand, manual delays, lack of data for decision-making, and route-to-growth uncertainty. Independent subject matter experts help businesses choose and implement IDTs to improve productivity and competitiveness. Elements include engagement and roadmapping to create a tailored plan; fully funded change management consultancy (covering organisational design, culture, teamworking, talent management and performance management); fully funded short technical training courses (e.g. process mapping, MRP/ERP and CRM systems, robotics and automation, AI); 3.5 days of intensive independent expert support across nine disciplines; grant funding of up to £20,000 with 50% match funding from the business; leadership and management training (seven workshops over three months); and digital internships. Following an additional £1.9m funding allocation, the programme now closes 31 March 2027, having delivered £4.7m of government investment to manufacturing businesses across the East Midlands between 2022 and 2026.
