About this support
MTC Training is the training and apprenticeships arm of the Manufacturing Technology Centre, a member of the UK's High Value Manufacturing Catapult. It aims to develop the next generation of engineering talent while upskilling and reskilling existing manufacturing workforces, and states its programmes are designed to help close the sector's skills gap and support technology adoption. The offer includes fully funded advanced engineering apprenticeships at levels 2 to 4 and HNC courses, delivered from MTC sites in Coventry, Liverpool and Oxfordshire, building foundational engineering skills alongside emerging technology themes. Alongside apprenticeships, MTC Training provides commercial CPD upskilling courses for existing staff, graduate development programmes, and a Training Services offering that combines technology, supply chain and skills development. Training draws on MTC's access to advanced manufacturing technologies and state-of-the-art workshop spaces across its sites. The page is aimed at employers and individuals seeking apprenticeship or upskilling routes within advanced engineering and manufacturing, supporting workforce development goals linked to UK manufacturing competitiveness.
