Solent Business Growth Service

The Solent Business Growth Service, powered by Solent Growth Partnership, is a free and impartial business support service for businesses across the Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, Southampton and the wider Solent region. It acts as a one-stop shop bringing together local and national business support and skills programmes, with businesses invited to contact the team, complete a short form, and receive tailored suggestions of relevant support. The service offers one-to-one advice tailored to a business's stage, whether start-up, growth or scale-up; support with apprenticeships, funding and training to help recruit, upskill and retain staff; Skills Bootcamps providing short, focused training in areas such as digital, marketing and AI; workshops and webinars on topics including funding, digital and marketing; access to the SEEDL learning platform for live and on-demand training; and Business & IP Centre support covering start-up information and intellectual property guidance. Businesses using the service can expect a clear action plan with practical next steps, an external perspective on what is and isn't working, support to build resilience, and help with productivity and team-building including hiring, training and development.
